Built for everyone.
We want every visitor to be able to read, explore and use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they rely on.
Sheffield Home of Football is committed to making sheffieldhomeoffootball.org accessible to as many people as possible, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we've done
- Clear, structured headings and meaningful page titles so screen readers can navigate easily.
- Descriptive alternative text on photographs and artefacts.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus outline on links and buttons.
- Colour combinations chosen for readable contrast.
- A responsive layout that works on phones, tablets and desktops.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting, so animations are turned off if you prefer.
Known limitations
Some older items in our archive, including a few scanned documents and historic photographs, may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to improve these over time. If you need any of this content in a different format, please get in touch and we will help.
