Physical Education Across Sheffield

PeSHOF is supporting schools, celebrating heritage and inspiring the next generation.

At the heart of our charity is a simple belief: every young person deserves access to high‑quality physical education, with football playing a central role in building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong wellbeing. To make this vision a reality, we currently employ an outreach worker on a consultancy basis, ensuring we can connect with every school in Sheffield and offer meaningful, hands‑on support. This vital role was generously funded this year by the South Yorkshire Community Fund, whose backing allowed us to expand our reach like never before.

A Breakthrough Year of Partnership and Progress
2025 marked our first year working in partnership with the Sheffield Federation of School Sports, and the results have been nothing short of outstanding. Together, we:

  • Had a strong presence at the boys’ and girls’ trophy finals, the historic Clegg Shield final, and the prestigious end‑of‑year awards at the Town Hall
  • Gifted a copy of our book to every finalist
  • Provided two copies to every school in Sheffield, ensuring all pupils can access and enjoy the city’s rich sporting heritage
  • Helped safeguard some of the oldest football trophies in the world, ensuring they are not only protected but proudly displayed for the public to enjoy throughout the year

This collaboration has strengthened the connection between schools, communities, and Sheffield’s extraordinary sporting legacy.

With such a successful year behind us, we are now pleased to announce “Wealth Management & Growth Ltd” as our education sponsor to help continue and grow this important work into 2026. With the right support, we can reach even more young people, celebrate more achievements, and ensure Sheffield’s sporting heritage remains alive, visible, and inspiring for generations to come.
