In the same way that the very first away game on the 2nd of January 1865 was a great collaboration of Sheffield and Penistone individuals, the short silent film we made re-creating that historic match was I feel also a marvellous example of cooperation between Sheffield Home football volunteers and the football historians of Penistone who helped us make the film and are amount the actors.
We are very honoured to have been given the award and are looking forward to similar future collaborations to promote both places as among the world’s most historic homes of association football.
